Rescheduled: Adult mosquito spraying in selected areas of Upper Providence

Upper Providence >> The Montgomery County Health Department, after consulting with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and Upper Providence officials, will be rescheduling adulticiding (spraying) to control the adult mosquito population in selected areas.

The spraying will be conducted, weather permitting, on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 from approximately 7:30 to 10 p.m. The alternate date will be Monday, Sept. 18, 2017.

The spraying will be done where sampling by the Health Department and PADEP has shown mosquitoes that carry the West Nile Virus. For notification of any future spray events sign up with “ReadyMontco” at

Residents within the spray area should consider remaining indoors, closing windows and turning off ventilation systems that draw-in outside air for the duration of the spray plus 30 minutes after.
